Exploration and Application of Mechanized Conservation Agriculture Techniques in Paddy-wheat Rotation Areas in South China
In this paper, the author analyses the differences of conservation agriculture techniques between south and north China, the key points and difficulties for conservation agriculture development in the south. Study, experiments and results of mechanized conservation agriculture practices carried out since 2004 are introduced. It also introduces Model 2BMF (DC) -6 zero-tillage wheat drill planter for paddy residue field developed through experiment which helps to solve the problems of reduced/zero tillage farming and fertilizer application in field mulched with paddy residue. Major tasks for conservation agriculture in paddy-wheat rotation areas in south China are explained.
