2-6 New Viewpoint on Formation Theory of Hot Dip Galvanizing Intermetallic Layer

This article summarize the vicissitude and revision process of the Fe-Zn binary alloy phase diagram in the near for several dozens year; reviewed the classical theories from on century 30s to the 70s, the forming process of every phase is α, Γ, δ, andζ; reviewed the theories of Fe<,2>Al<,5> resistance phase in the 80s and the classical theories of ζ phase had fashioned at first in medium-term 90s. According to the new phase diagram of 2002, we made the Γ<,1> phase and the Γ<,2> phase, and then gained hereinafter viewpoint by conDiagramuration analysis.1 αphase doesnt exist, there only has Zn inα-Fe disordered solid solution; 2 In the heating process, the forming process of Fe-Zn alloy isζ phase and δ phase; 3 In the cooling process, the forming process of Fe-Zn alloy is Γ<,1> phase and Γ<,2> phase; 4 The formation of the Γ<,2> phase is quasi-martensitic transformation; 5 Γ<,1> phase is the conglutination layer, Γ<,1> phase is consecutive phase of α-Fe; The gestation period restrain the forming of δ phase center of crystallite or only engender the fine-grainδ phase.
