4-7 Effects of Cr on properties of Fe<,2>B in smelted Fe-B alloy
Fe<,2>B is a kind of intermetallic compound with perfect behavior on corrosion resistance to molten zinc. But its fatal eigen-brittleness can hardly be changed. In order to make it possible, effect of Cr on corrosion resistant to molten zinc and fracture toughness of Fe<,2>B is studied. It was found that the adding of Cr could hardly affects corrosion resistant of Fe<,2>B. It was indicated from the Vickers indentation test that fracture toughness is considerably improved after propriety of Cr is added.
