4-8 Corrosion Evaluation of Hot Dip Galvanized Insulator Pins with Image Processing Techniques

摘要：

In this paper, we propose an automatic computer system for measuring diameters and estimating corrosion degrees of hot dip galvanized insulator pins based on image processing and computer vision techniques. The design of this computer system is try to facilitate the checking whether an old insulator is reusable and estimating how long it can be reused. The automatic evaluation of reusable insulators not only can save the cost of man-power but also can prolong life extension of insulators.
