A Report on Analysis of The Performance and Cost of Energy Efficient and Super Efficient Copper Motor Rotor Based Motors
This paper is mainly focus on the recent development of copper rotor motors in China. The 10HP energy efficiency copper rotor motor prototype has been successfully produced in China. The test of the motors showed that the energy efficiency meets the EPACT standards and the lower material cost than the traditional motors. The on-site motor test in Yunnan Copper Group also proved that the great economic benefit by using energy efficiency copper rotor motors replacing common motors. The research and development of super efficiency 2HP copper rotor motor which can exceed NEMA Premium Standard is also introduced. Based on analyzing and calculating, it shows that the using of CMR in motors, especially in small-size motors can improve the energy efficiency greatly.
