From Awareness Raising to Implementing Actions--The Swiss Campaign Efficient Compressed Air
Energy efficiency in compressed air systems is often not achieved mainly due to a lack of awareness or a lack of information and knowledge. Energy efficiency campaigns such as efficient compressed air in Switzerland will therefore be very helpful in activating energy efficiency potentials. It will be shown that by a mix of advertising, printed information material and online support, the typical requirements of the compressed air users can be met. However the required efforts should not be underestimated and a joining of forces of different actors from industry, research and marketing is necessary to achieve the desired targets. The Swiss campaign which started in 2006 clearly demonstrates the possibilities to achieve market transformation and it will continue to do so at least until 2008.
