The Basic Study of Osteophytic Dysphagia of Section Imaging Anatomy

Objective: To study the anatomic bases of osteophytic dysphagia by section imaging anatomy. Methods: The measurement of the distance between the cricoid lamina and cervical vertebrae were taken on sixty adult median dissected cadavers heads (M30, F30) and the X-ray film of sixty (M30, F30) college students on lateral position. All the data are managed by SPSS software. Results: The distance (mm) between the cricoid lamina and cervical vertebrae is 6.66±0.81, 5.57±0.93, 7.70±1.02 in male and 5.74±0.37, 4.64±0.61, 6.71±0.76 in female on the superior, middle and inferior level of the cricoid lamina respectively for the cadaver measurement. It is 7.34±1.12, 6.28±1.16, 8.32±1.00 in male and 6.78±1.01, 5.68±1.12, 7.52±1.52 in female on X-ray films. There are all sexual significance (t=2.07~ 5.64, P<0.05). Conclusion: The minimum distance between the cricoid lamina and cervical vertebrae locates on the middle level of the cricoid lamina.
