Study on Parameterization Modeling for Wind Turbine Blade Based on UG

The method of the 3D-modeling was researched for wind turbine blades which are the most crucial and basic components. The paper processed data of discrete points in the airfiol comined with coordinate transformation relation and EXCEL software which can handle data commendably, bringing the actual coordinate data for the calculated points. The cross section curve of the blades was drawn by dual cubic B spline surface based on the free surface modeling function of UG, and then the three-dimensional model of the blades was established. The method of modeling improves greatly the efficiency of the establishment for the 3D model, also as a base to make the calculation of structural strength and mechanical behaviour for blades.
