The Analysis on Influence of Wind Turbine Generating Units in Atrocious Weather Conditions
At present, wind turbine generating units which are operating in China were imported from overseas. These units are so difficult to accommodate the poor weather conditions that failure rate is very high, becase there is a huge area in China, and the weather is diffierential between south and north. The abominable weather, such as freezing, typhoon, lightning strike, salt fog and so on, has severely affected wind turbine generating units in the last twenty years. Damage, including vibration, lightning disturbance of blade tip, and attaint of WP3000, electrical system and control components, occurs frequently. Based on above cases, the breakage was detailedly analyzed in this paper when wind turbine generating units experienced the trocious weather conditions, such as low temperature, icing, typhoon, lightning strike ect,. On the basis of introduction for the related research status at home and abroad, many measurements and trends of research are put forward to solve the problem effectively, offering some implications for design in future.
