Turbulence Model Choosing of Numerical Simulation on Special Airfoil of Wind Turbine
Based on 3D N-S equation, different turbulence models such as k-ε、k-ω、RSM and LES are used to simulate the S827 airfoil, and the computational decisions are compared. Under Re=4×106, the lift and drag coefficients and pressure distribution are obtained within the angle of attack from -4° to 10°. Through the comparison with NREL aerodynamic data, it is revealed that RSM turbulence model is more useful for the numerical simulation on special airfoil of wind turbine.
