Generation of energetic wavelength tunable femtosecond pulses in higher-order-mode fiber
We demonstrate soliton-self frequency shift and Cerenkov radiation in higher-order- mode solid, silica-based fibers below 1300 nm. A wavelength shift of 240 nm and pulse energy of 1 nJ were achieved for sub 100-fs pulses.
