COORDINATION OF MULTIPLE MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROLLERS FOR CSTR
This paper presents a new controller coordination method for chemical processes. In this control scheme, multiple model predictive controllers (MPCs) are built and run in parallel. The manipulated variables for the controlled systems are calculated adaptively by the affine combination of the weighted MPC computations. For demonstrating the effectiveness of this method, we applied the controller coordination method to the temperature control of a simulated continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR). In a simulation, the proposed method demonstrated good capabilities for control.
