Dynamics of metastable limit in the three component system
Prediction of metastable zone width is a key factor for crystallization process. If the concentration difference between current solution and the supersaturation concentration is larger than the ΔCmax which is the difference between the metastable limit and the saturation concentration, many nuclei occur in the solution. The nuclei hinder the growth of the particles so that the cost of production is increased by lower purity and higher water consumption. To prevent the nuclei generation, metastable region in which particles grow but nuclei doesn’t generate should be defined. The metastable limit, lower bound of the metastable zone, has the dynamic properties depends on the cooling rate. In this paper, 3HBP is one of the raw materials to synthesize the photo resist, are used for studying the three components system and the parameters of metastable limit dynamic behavior are evaluated for desirable operating condition.
