INTERACTION BETWEEN WATER REGENERATION AND WASTE TREATMENT FOR TOTAL WATER NETWORK
A total water network consists of water reuse/recycle, water regeneration as well as wastewater treatment for final discharge. In this work, appropriate selection of waste streams for regeneration/waste treatment reduces the load of the regeneration/treatment units, and hence leads to the reduction of the network capital and operation costs. Besides, a novel wastewater composite curve for targeting the minimum impurity load removal is presented in this work. Next, the wastewater composite curve is utilised to target for minimum treatment flowrate for treatment system of the fixed outlet concentration. A literature example is solved to illustrate the proposed approaches.
