Optimal Hydrogen Recycling Network Design of Petrochemical Complex
Tighter environmental regulations and more heavy-end upgrading in the petrochemical complex lead to increased demand for hydrogen. Hydrogen is an important utility in the production of clean fuels such as low-sulfur gasoline and diesel. But in a petrochemical complex, large amount of hydrogen is produced as a by-product and used as a fuel in petrochemical and oil refinery plants. So we should need a method for petrochemical complex to make most efficient use of hydrogen. By recycling this byproduct hydrogen as a raw material, the value of hydrogen can be greatly improved. This study proposes a design methodology for optimal hydrogen recycle network between plants in petrochemical complex by analyzing the hydrogen pinch, required cost and constraints.
