Progress and Prospect in Flexibility Research of Process Systems
This paper presents a review of flexibility research of process systems. The concept of flexibility and two approaches for quantifying——flexibility index (FI) and feasible convex hull ratio (FCHR) are briefly introduced. Methods of flexibility analysis and optimization are presented. Then recent work and progress of relevant research are comprehensively expatiated. Finally, the existing problems in flexibility analysis and design research are pointed out. Several challenges and prospects of the area are outlined.
