An Intelligent System of Real-time Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis for Chemical Processes

An intelligent system of real-time monitoring and fault diagnosis for chemical processes is introduced in this paper. The system integrated frame, the knowledge base, the inference machine and the knowledge acquisition are discussed in detail. A mixed reasoning strategy and the deep first search strategy are adopted in the reasoning process. In this paper, interviews, decision tree, and analysis of production flow are adopted as the knowledge acquisition techniques. This paper also presents the use of decision tree to generate the rules automatically from the data set. The industrial application of the proposed system proved its high reliability and accuracy.
