Preliminary Study on Community Response to Noise in Tianjin, China
With the rapid development of economy and society in China, noise problem becomes more and more serious in big cities. It is necessary to investigate the sound environment in big cities and the responses of Chinese residents to the noise using more scientific and international methods. In the present study, a social survey aimed at the exploring of the current acoustical environment in urban life and the residents attitude to noise problem was carried out in Tianjin, a Chinese city. More than 1000 effective questionnaires were collected to analyze the response to noise of the residents with different generation and gender. Furthermore,the dose-response relationship curves of road traffic noise were obtained by using the ICBEN method.
