The Composition of the Built Environment of Recreational Squares in the Pearl River Delta
In this paper, by using the recreational squares in the Pearl River Delta as the examples, the composition of the built environment is analyzed, which includes the social environment, the conceptual environment and the physical environment. The political, social and cultural bases of the social environment as well as their manifestations are further analyzed. The conceptual environment is then discussed. Afterwards, the elements and factors of the physical environment are analyzed in detail. Moreover, the fuzzy AHP, the factor analysis and the principal component analysis are employed to obtain the grade of the five examples and the major factors affecting the quality of the environment. Finally, the authors briefly discuss the meaning of the built environment and its spatial properties, showing the information gap and efficiency difference between cognitions of the users and the real environment.
