Business process management (BPM) stresses that business processes are continuously improved and optimized. The BPM life cycle is composed of four stages, viz. initiation, restructuring, implementation and evaluation. It is dynamic and circular. Therefore, the paper analyzes the process of the BPM implementation on the basis of the theory of System Dynamics (SD). Then the paper sets up a casual model for continuously improving business processes and analyzes the feedback characteristic of the model in detail. Consequently, the paper indicates the critical success factors and the main obstacles to continuous improvement of business processes.
