Chinese Railway Ticketing and Reservation System Development and Investment Analysis
Under nearly 10 years investment and construction by the Ministry of Railway and railway bureaus, Chinese Railway Ticketing and Reservation System has already been completely applied. Railway bureaus financed most of the investment, which follows the principle that who invest who benefit and also meets the principle of investment scale determined by demand. As a whole, the investment of Chinese railway informatization occupies a rather small portionof the total railway transportation income. This has relationship with the capital and labor intensive technical characteristics of rail transportation. However, with the accelerating process of railway modernization, its technology intensive feature is emerging, accordingly railway informatization investment should also be intensively increased.
