Study on the Information Integration Model of the ERP-based EIS
With the increasing application of ERP systems in Chinese enterprises, the advantages and disadvantages of this system are becoming obvious. ERP system is a management platform focused on internal and external information integration of enterprise, which provides an effective solution for transaction processing and business analysis. However, ERP systems are unsuitable for realizing the know-how of information and strategic management of the enterprise. By analysing the necessity and feasibility of the integration of EIS and ERE this paper proposes a conceptual model of the ERP-based EIS, identifies the architecture of the model, describes the roles of main technologies in this model, and discusses the strategies for realizing the model.
