Performance management of commercial banks based on EVA
EVA is a performance management tool widely used in advanced foreign banks. This paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility to introduce EVA into commercial banks in China, and constructs the EVA model consistent with the banks business features according to the operating characteristics of the banking industry and by using economic capital to calculate the capital cost, in order to reflect the economic added value of commercial banks accurately.
