An Approach for Linguistic Decision Making and Its Application in Supplier Evaluation and Selection
The linguistic values of the attribute evaluation and weight vectors are described by normal fuzzy numbers, and the decision making framework based on the linguistic operators is established by the weighted mean method. The linguistic operators which base on normal fuzzy numbers are given, and then the calculating method for the cuts of the comprehensive evaluation values is put forward. The fuzzy numbers of evaluation is expressed by discrete cuts, and the normal fuzzy numbers are aggregated. The comprehensive evaluation can also be expressed by normal fuzzy, numbers and the parameters are got by regression. The linear ranking method based on the Euclid distance for the normal fuzzy number is proposed. Finally, we solve the problem of supplier evaluation and selection in a manufacture enterprise, and the results demonstrate the feasibility and validity.
