Applying Fuzzy VIKOR for Strategic IS/IT Outsourcing Project Selection
The process of IS/IT outsourcing project decision making is always as time consuming and confronts complex decision problems, especially in uncertain situations involving multiple criteria, goals, or objectives of conflicting nature, and different preferences among different decision makers. In order to exploit and evaluate the outsourcing decision adequately in the presence of multiple criteria, this study proposed an integrated VIKOR framework under the fuzzy environment by using a realistic IS/IT outsourcing decision example. With the fuzzy VIKOR method, this study intends to provide a rational and systematic solution to come up with a best solution and compromise solution that can use to resolve fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making problem.
