Research on Application of Business Intelligence in Electric Power Enterprises
Gartner group researched on the ten technologies attracting the CIOs attentions in 2006. The investigation result showed that BI was on the top. Another investigation report showed that the most attracting technology in 2007 would be still the application of BI. Informationization development of enterprises in China is still on the stage of systemic integration; hence the demand for high-level decision-making systems becomes more and more. The research from Analysis International showed that the scale of BI market in the fourth quarter in 2006 reached up to 0.36 billion Yuan in China, the growth rate was 10.7％, and BI was the important element in the future. The BI system and data processing course is described in this paper. Basing on the status of electric power industry informationization, introducing BI into the informationization of power enterprises is proposed, and the application of BI in power marketing information system is researched in detail. BI has become an effective method to get use of information resources. It has broad exploitation foreground and application market in electric power enterprises.
