A Profession-focused and Integrated IS Knowledge Framework
Computing education and the computing profession continues to change rapidly. The Information Systems (IS) discipline is more concerned than ever about organizations. This paper analyzes the changing definition of Information Systems and summarizes three issues in IS academic research and the IS profession. Based on the nature of IS and its professional focus, the paper describes an integrated IS knowledge framework based on these three IS issues. It is intended that this framework be used in IS curriculum design and IS practice.
