Thermomagnetic Properties near Transition of Compound Dy6FeSb2
Thermomagnetie properties of the new compound Dy<,6> FeSb<,2> were investigated by vibrating sample magnetometer. The sample of the compound Dy<,6>FeSb <,2> showed soft magnetic behavior in the investigated temperature range from 85 to 300K and the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition of the compound was a second-order transition. The Landau theory of second-order phase transition was employed to investigate the thermodynamic transition temperature and the specific heat. The calculated transition temperature and the specific heat jump at Currie point of the compound were 143K and 47.2J·kg<- 1>·K<-1>, respectively.
