Gloss effect on colour difference evaluation
An experiment was carried out to reveal the effect of gloss on colour differences evaluation. The samples were repared by printing inks on three papers with different gloss levels. Sample pairs were visually assessed and instrumentally measured. The results showed a small gloss effect that lightness differences are more noticeable than chromatic differences by about 25% for evaluating higher gloss sample pairs.
