Test of the application of steam assisted gravity drainage in the super heavy-oil development in liaohe oilfield

The study of super heavy oil reservoir development in Liaohe oilfield began in 1995, the production experiment of cyclic steam stimulation was successful under the technical conditions at that time, an experiment for steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) stacked parallel horizontal wells was carried out in Xing VI unit of S3 upper in 1997, but had to give up at the end of 1998 due to various problem such as technique preparation and equipment. In order to explore the conversion style after cyclic steam stimulation and increase recovery factor of super heavy oil reservoirs, it is suggested that the geologic condition in Guantao Formation reservoir meets the requirement of SAGD development through investigation and study of numerical simulation. A SAGD experiment of four well groups combined with vertical wells and horizontal wells was conducted in Block Du84 in Guantao Formation reservoir in 2005. The average net pay thickness of single well in Guantao Formation reservoir is 78m, belonging to block reservoir, the ratio of vertical permeability to horizontal permeability is O.77, vertical wells in this block were put into production in 2000, oil production has already entered into declining stage. So far, this field experiment has converted to SAGD for one year, and effects were observed after three months of officially conversion SAGD, now it is at the period of steam chamber expansion, daily liquid production and daily oil production have steadily increased, dynamic fluid level and wellhead temperature also gradually increased, daily oil production of well groups increased from 176t to 248t after SAGD, the increasing daily oil production is 72t. It is predicted that the maximum daily oil production of the well groups in SAGD stage is 500t, with average daily oil production of 310t. Up to present the ratio of total oil produced to OOIP in SAGD stage is 3.7% cumulative ratio of total oil produced to OOIP is 16.2% it is predicted that the improving recovery factor will be 27% by SAGD. Coring is conducted in the place 22m away from steam injection well by observation well one year after the experiment field convert to SAGD, through observation and analysis for the cores, the height of steam chamber is about 20m, the minimum remaining oil saturation is only 12% generally are at 40% oil displacement efficiency get high after SAGD development, up to 83% Therefore, it is believed that SAGD development is an effective way to change development scheme and then fulfill production continuance after cyclic steam stimulation of super heavy oil, offering reference effect for similar heavy oil reservoir development. The OOIP which can adopt SAGD method in Liaohe oilfield get to 9563×10 <4>t, it is predicted that the improving recovery factor will be 20% with the increasing recoverable reserves of 1910×10<4>t.
