Issues and Countermeasures in Middle-Later Stage of Heavy Oil Steam Huff and Puff of Liaohe Oilfield
The geological conditions of Liaohe oilfield are very complex and its crude oil is mainly heavy oil, whose output accounts for 60％ of Liaohes total oil output. Liaohe oilfield has been developed for more than thirty years. At present, heavy oil block has been in its middle-later stage of steam huff and puff. On average, steam huff and puff has been done for more than 10 cycles per well in many heavy oil blocks, Reservoirs pressure ranges from 1.5 to 5.5MPa. In view of the reservoir conditions and worsening development results, various technical measures have been taken in Liaohe oilfield. Output decrease has been controlled and more reserves have been put to use gradually. The paper summarizes and analyses the issues and their countermeasures in middle-later stage of heavy oil steam huff and puff of Liaohe oilfield as well as, the successful experiences in converting the development mode, which may be used as references for the development of similar oilfields all over the world.
