The Impact of Vertical Well Pattern on Thermal Recovery
According to thermal recovery theory, the impact of different vertical well patterns on thermal recovery is derived theoretically by using mathematical method. It is concluded that, compared with square well pattern at the same well spacing, triangular well pattern is more compact, more even and more flexible in structure, it can effectively improve sweep efficiency per unit area, enlarge the area of well arrangement region, and improve the development corresponding to 13.4% of OOIP. Meanwhile, by the method of 3-D numerical simulation, it is further confirmed that triangular well pattern is superior to square well pattern through the whole process of thermal recovery.
