Laboratory study on Enhancing Heavy Oil Recovery by Using Microbial after Polymer Flooding
Four different microbial that can grow with polymer and crude oil as the carbon source have been screened. These bacteria are different from that of growing with carbohydrate as the only carbon source used in MEOR before. Evaluation was made on the physiological and bio-chemical characteristics of the screened bacteria, the ability of their degrading oil and polyme viscosity decreases from 18.6mPa·s to 1.0mPa· s after adding microbial, relative molecular weight of polymer decreases apparently, molecule quality distributes from 10<6>~10 <8> to 10<6>~10<7>, and peak value excurses to relatively low molecular weight. The results show that the light component of crude oil have been increased due to the action of the selected bacteria, the paraffin content, the gel content and the freezing point of crude oil have been decreased from 41℃ to 28℃ Also, due to the action of the bacteria, saturated hydrocarbon in group composition of oil averagely increases by 11.37%, and nonhydrocarbon and asphaltum decreases respectively by 6.6% and 2.9%. Moreover, Core displacement shows that oil recovery can be improved 3~5% or 7% by using MEOR
