Studies on Percolating Characteristics of Heavy Oil and Its Application in Shengli Petroliferous Province
By core experiment under conditions of different viscosity, permeability and temperatures with samples from 10 heavy oil blocks in Shengli Petroliferous Province, the flow laws and characteristics of heavy oil through porous media are studied, which indicates that the heavy oil in porous media is a type of non- Newtonian fluid with some starting pressure gradient. The percolating characteristics of non-Darcy flow of heavy oil and its influencing factors are studied, and the calculation formula for initial starting pressure gradient of heavy oil is established. The starting pressure gradient of heavy oil under the reservoir conditions is affected by the reservoirs permeability, heating temperature, viscosity and asphalt content. The higher the reservoir permeability and the heating temperature are, and the lower the oil viscosity and the asphalt content are, the lower the starting pressure gradient is. Further more, application of the foregoing results in field is studied. According to the results, the drainage radius and the development scheme can be calculated, the thermal production well spacing can be confirmed and the reasons for high water cut at early production stage can be explained.
