Separate Layer Steam Injection Technology for Heavy Oil Development

摘要：

This paper introduces a separate layer steam injection technology. By using packers to separate the interbedded layers effectively, independent injection units can be formed vertically by this separate layer steam injection technology so that each injection unit can be acted upon by the injection equipment separately. By doing so, the interferences between high permeability zones and low permeability zones, new and existing layers, oil and water formations are reduced during injection, so the potential of oil reservoirs is tapped thoroughly and the producing degree of reservoirs is improved. This technology includes separate quantitative injection technique, separate layer steam distribution technique, and automatic steam distribution techniqu Whats more, in view of some special oil wells, separate injection techniques for sanding wells and sidetracked wells have been developed.
