Application of Sealing Core Drilling at the middle-late stage of Heavy Oil Development in Northwest Edge, Jungar Basin
The heavy oil reservoir of Northwest Edge is shallow buried with depth of 140-700m in the upper block of Fault Ke-Wu with the oil viscosity of 1000~ 500,000mpa.s at20℃. It is river facies with unconsolidated sandstone and glutenite. The conventional core drilling has low gathering rote and could not get the whole reservoir information. And now the sealing core drilling is used to increase the gathering rate and assure the analysis, which plays an important role to geology evaluation. It is helpful to set up the criterion of watered-out layer, to build the interpreting equation of watered-out layer, to calculate the heated radius of steam injection, to understand the displacing characteristics and oil distribution of steam injection.
