Experimental Study on Ultrasonic Demulsification of Heavy Oil Dehydration and Tank Transition Section Treatment

In Dagang Zaoyuan oilfield, with applications of enhanced oil recovery, heavy oil dehydration becomes harder and harder, and tank transition section become thicker. In this paper ultrasonic was introduced to solve those problem. Reasons of causing those problems were analyzed. The paper presented the basic principles of heavy oil dehydration by ultrasonic demulsification. The feasibility of heavy oil dehydration by ultrasonic demulsification was studied experimentally. The Paper also discussed how to use ultrasonic to treat tank transition section. Some reasonable operation parameters for ultrasonic demulsification of heavy oil dehydration were discussed.
