A Novel Surface Gathering and Transportation System for Exploiting Heavy Oilfield
A novel surface gathering and transportation system for exploiting heavy oil is developed in order to deal with problems of investment, pipeline network complexity, measurement accuracy, energy resource waste, and overmuch gathering and transportation capacity. The idea of the novel technique is to decrease the radius of gathering oil, the functions such as automatic metering, automatic mixing, centralized heating and mixture transportation can be implemented using the new system. The novel technique is an effort of petroleum industry to save investment, reduce workload, decrease energy resource waste, improve productivity, improve measurement accuracy, and improve automatization level.
