Analysis of the Form of Product and Its Semantics
As the information based society is coming, the development of the micro electronic technology has set more requests on the modeling of the industrial product design. We neednt go strictly after the slogan of form follows function as before. In this situation, the science of shape semantics is born. In this text, the author gives out the shape semantics and some applications with examples in the industrial design area of it. Meanwhile, this text also put forward some problems that to deal with. For example, there is an outstanding contradiction between standardization and individualism As they are all the products of the modem society and developed economy, the contradiction between the two seems to be irreconcilable. Some shallow points have been provided in this article on how to solve these problems in order to make better use of this science to serve for the modem designing and make more fine works?
