The Application of Chinese Traditional Decoration in Modern Design

摘要：

With a history of hundreds of years, traditional Chinese decoration not only demonstrates the aesthetics, values, and cultural features of China, but also reflects the expectations of Chinese people. This thesis aims to explore the ways in which traditional decora-tion demonstrates itself in auspicious forms, and to illustrate the metaphorical essence contained in the ornaments. To some extent, decoration combines goodness and beauty. Preserving traditional decoration and combining its spiritual elements with modem design is the problem for every designer.
