Properties of nyctereutes ussurienusis matschie wool
In this paper, the properties of the dehaired Nyctereutes Ussurienusis Matschie (NUM) fiber were studied and compared with those of superfine sheep wool and cashmere, including fiber diameter, fiber length, crimp frequency, friction property and mechanical performance and so on. In addition, the microstructure of the NUM fiber was also investigated and the crystallinity of the fiber was measured by the wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD). The results indicate that the NUM fiber is of high value to the textile application, and especially the fiber processes distinct heat insulating ability. As a result, the paper provides an important theoretical basis for exploiting the textile application of the NUM wool.
