Measurement on the blending ratio of wool/cashmere yarns based on image processing technology
The colors divergence of two fibers using HI-1 dye to stain into the blending yarn of wool and cashmere is introduced. The colored samples were then, sliced and imaged. The images were further filtered and extracted. Image-Processing technique was finally used to identify the two fibers and work out the blending ratio. This study demonstrated a speedy and accurate approach to analysis blending ratio and the results obtained by this technique were very close to the practical data.
