Luster and structure of worsted fabrics using OPTIM fine fiber and its blend with other materials
In regard of worsted fabrics using OPTIM fine fiber and its blend with other materials, the apparent morphology of OPTIM fine fibers and fabrics were observed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), the properties of compression and luster were measured, the classification based on the main technique for the fabrics were carried. The results show that the fabrics made of OPTIM fine blended with ordinary wool fiber exhibit good luster and fabric performance due to few fiber crimp, wool cross-section from ellipse to polygon, larger space between scales of wool, closer yarns of the fabrics. The results also show that the fabrics made of OPTIM fine possess smaller average thickness (T<,0>) and the surface layer (ST), larger intensity of reflection light(G ) and diffuse reflection light(G<,d>), stronger contrast gloss(G <,c>) compared with ordinary wool fiber by the classification based on the main technique for the fabrics.
