Research on the thermo-melting slurry for worsted yarn

This paper discusses the main adhesive of a thermo- melting slurry, which is synthesized by polyethylene glycol, polylactic acid, PCL, polyvinyl acetate and acrylic acid. The polymerization materials of the sizing and the polymers are all biodegradable green meterials. The optimal condition of the experiment though the orthogonal test was found. Then the properties of the slurry, sizing and the raw yarn, such as the infrared spectrum, the melting point and water-solubility were surveyed, and the results were compared. The results indicated that the slurry can develop the physical and mechanical properties and be suitable for sizing to worsted yarn.
