Analysis of the performances of PTT/wool blended fabrics
In this paper, we discussed the mechanical properties and hand of PTT/wool fabrics on the basis of tested data. The result indicates that PTT/wool blended fabrics own the high elongation rate, low breaking strength and low tensile module at the high elongation rate. The elastic elongation and recovery of PTT/wool fabrics are excellent, and the elastic elongation is mainly determined by weave structure, warp and weft cover factor. Both PTT/wool and PET/wool fabrics show the good crease recovery, especially PTT/wool fabrics showing better delayed elasticity. PTT/wool fabrics have the excellent fuzz and pills resistance generally with the grade above 4. It is shown that PTT/wool fabrics are softness, smoothness and fullness, and both basic hand and total hand of PTT/wool fabrics appear to be excellent compared with PET/wool fabrics.
