Liquid moisture transport performance of wool-flax knitted fabrics
In the present study, 4 yarns with different ratios of high count wool and fine denier polyester fiber matched with flax yarns are designed and produced by selecting proper fabric structure. Their liquid moisture transfer properties are measured by using the Moisture Management Tester (MMT) which invented by the HongKong Polytechnic University, and compared with fabrics which are treated by nano hydrophilic finish, we expect it can gauge the one-way transport capability accurately, and evaluate the moisture transport property, thereby the design of the thermal and moisture comfortable properties of wool-flax knitted fabric is optimized, it can also provide the gist of the theory and method.
