Research on the wool fabric pilling performance after washing

The influence on the wool fabric pilling performace after washing under the dry friction condition is analyzed. The research of fabric washing mechanism indicates that the fibers in the fabric under the actions caused by interface electric potential difference, mechanical force and the changes of fibers during the washing, which results in the fibers producing slippage in the yarn and increases the number of fiber ends protruding the fabric surface. From the washing time and the fixed water weight bath ratio, the influence on the wool fabric pilling performace after washing is analyzed. The results show that the washing time and the fixed water weight bath ratio have definite influence on the fabric pilling performance, and the washing process have an more obvious influence on the knitted fabrics than the woven fabrics.
