Simulation of the Double Switched Reluctance Motors Parallel Drive System
The paper presented the developed non-linear simulation models for the double Switched Re- luctance motors parallel drive system based on Matlab-Simulink platform. The motor structure, the power converter, the block diagram of the system and the pulse width modulation control strategy with PID algorithm for closed-loop rotor speed control, synchronized the rotor speeds and balanced the distribution of the loads were described. The nonlinear simulation models of the parallel drive system were given with the main model, one unit model. The simulated results of the system at the low rotor speed and the high rotor speed with the simulated rotor speed curves, the simulated phase current waveform, and the simulated per phase electro-magnetic torque waveform, were also presented. It was shown that the performance of the double Switched Reluctance motors parallel drive system in synchronized the rotor speeds and balanced the distribution of the loads is well.
