Controller Design for Networked Control Systems with Limited Bandwidth

Stabilization of networked control systems (NCSs) with bandwidth constraints, where only part of sensors and actuators have access to communication medium, is studied in this paper. The NCSs are first modeled as periodic switching systems based on the given communication policy, and then the stability of the systems are analyzed via Lyapunov method. By applying the Elimination lemma, the feedback controller can be directly constructed by solving a set of LMIs. The proposed method avoids the computational complexity in the optimal seeking algorithm. An example is used to illustrate the effctiveness of the method.
