Optimal Control for Nonlinear Systems with Sinusoidal Disturbances
The optimal control problem for a class of nonlinear systems affected by additive sinusoidal disturbances is considered. To damp the forced oscillation in an optimal fashion, a sensitivity design approach of optimal controller is proposed. By introducing a sensitivity parameter and expanding power series around it, the optimal control problem for nonlinear systems is transformed into solving a Maclaurin series of optimal control problems for linear systems. By intercepting a finite sum of the optimal control series, a feedforward- feedback suboptimal control law is obtained to escape the complex calculation. The algorithm of solving the suboptimal control law is given as well. Simulation results show that feedforward-feedback optimal control law is more robust with respect to additive disturbances than classical feedback optimal control.
